Sunday Knight

Sunday Knight

After an impressive first up trial win over Carry on Kosa ($165,300) in January, Mythical Memory (Sunday Knight – Rasian (Semipalatinsk) continued to impress all the good judges when the filly chalked up an impressive second at her first start over 1000m in Toowoomba on Saturday (17/3/07).

After drawing the extreme outside barrier, the filly jumped fast and took up the lead only to be beaten in the last few lengths. Her owners, Dr David Laws and Ms Jan Cox immediately decided to spell the filly and bring her back as a 3Y0 in the spring. She is now back in the paddocks at Plaintree Farms where she was reared.

Yet another sire produced by the red-hot Arrowfield stallion factory, Sunday Knight has seen his first runners start out in impressive fashion. While only six runners have trialed to date, they have chalked up two winners (Mythical Memory at Gatton and Wannsee Knight at Rockhampton) and a short head second at Eagle Farm (Punch Up in an Open Maiden in the fastest trial of the day) Sunday Knight has also had five progeny to race for a second (Mythical Memory at Toowoomba over 1000m) and two third place getters (Knight in Tights at Mooney Valley over 1000m and Wullkuraka at Ipswich over 1350m)

While he is the only colonial bred son of Sunday Silence in the world, Sunday Knight also offers the strength of a tremendous Australian female family. The impressive black entire is half brother to Attire (dam of Fashions Afield G1) while his dam Wrap Around was a Group 1 winner, her half sister Rose of Danehill was a G2 winner and his grand-dam Beach Gown was a G3 winner.
