New Queen emerrges for fabulous Denise's Joy family

Consistent mare Wild Queen (Loup Sauvage- Crowning Jewel (Bletchingly-Jewel in the Crown (by Mightly Kingdom from Joy and Fun) added another stakes win to her already impressIve record when she toyed with her rivals at Rosehill today in the $100,000 G3 De Bortoli Wines – Millie Fox Stakes (1300m).

The race was run at a farcical slow pace giving the back markers absolutely no chance while also restricting the chances of the favourite Lotteria who was always going to struggle when the field quickened under her impost of the 61kg.

Wild Queen was able to lob along at her own speed with Regal Cheer content to sit outside the leader with Steflara tracking the leader while Lotteria was on her outside.

From the 600m jockey Jamie Innes started to quicken the speed aboard Wild Queen and had a race on her hands with Regal Cheer and Steflara until the 200m when she forged away for an easy win.

Lotteria was unable to go with the three placegetters when the tempo came into the race from the 600m but lost no admirers finishing fourth.

Wild Queen 56.5kg ($8 SP) (J.Innes) defeated Steflara 52kg ($5 SP) (Z.Purton) by two lengths with Regal Cheer 52kg ($3.70 SP) (G.Boss) a half head away in third.

The time for the race was 1.17.19 (last 600m in 32.88).
